2019 SEASON IS OPEN!!!

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2019 SEASON OF THE COBBLE HILL CSA IS OPEN!

The CSA will continue to partner with The Green Thumb, Long Island’s oldest certified organic farm (NOFA-NY certified) in Water Mill, New York, family owned since 1644. The core group and Farmer Ray are aware of concerns raised in past years, and all are committed to creating a satisfying partnership for all members

Green Thumb Vegetable Share for 2019:

28 Weeks @ $19.00/week = $532  + CSA Membership Fee – $30 (unchanged from prior year) = TOTAL $557

Dates: June 4th—December 10th

Pick Up: Christ Church, 326 Clinton Street (corner of Kane Street).

Pick up Times: Please note changed pick-up times: 4:30 pm to 7:45 pm, the Cobble Hill CSA is unable to arrange pick-ups outside the distribution place and times.

Volunteer Time: As in the past each CSA member is required to put in 4 hours volunteer time during the season

Members are responsible for bringing their own bags to the site

Additional options from the farm:

Herb Share: 13 Weeks ($5/week) = $65

Flower Share: 11 Weeks($9/week) = $99

Tomato/Sauce Share – $45/box
Available: Pick pick your date Aug. 15, 22, 28 Sept. 5th and/or 14th

Fruit Share:  The Fruit Share has not yet been set up. It is anticipated that the CSA will continue to work with Wilklow Orchards.  In order not to delay the opening of this season we will send out a second contract for the Fruit Share in June, with a planned season of July 2 for a 24 week fruit share, price TBD

As always, Farm Tours  and Hayrides are part of your CSA membership.

The Core Group is still looking for volunteers work as Site Coordinators. This crucial position requires a 7 week commitment to being at the CSA site from  4pm to 8pm (or when ever closing tasks are completed) for a total commitment of 28 hours. This is in addition to the general CSA member work commitment of 4 hours per season, but may carry the possibility of a reduced price share.
